ARGUMENTATIVE TEXT : FLOODS BARRIER STUDENTS FROM LEARNING
Thesis :
On Thursday, March 14 2024, students at SMK Negeri 4 Semarang were determined to study at home. Heavy rain hit most of the city of Semarang causing several areas in the city to be submerged in floods. Some students home areas were also affected.
Argument 1 :
The floods that hit this city caused some students houses to be submerged. Likewise with the roads that students and teachers will take from home to school. The difficulty of access has given rise to many complaints from the majority of students parents. Reports and concerns from the students parents resulted in the decision that all students at SMK Negeri 4 Semarang would carry out learning activities that day at home.
Argument 2 :
However, there are also parents who say that flooding is not an obstacle to learning. However, floods that are so high in several areas can cause danger or undesirable events for students and teachers. There is also the risk of getting your uniform and books wet. Not a few students and teachers have already arrived at school, so they have to return home due to late notification of further information. So that students remain safe and can participate in distance learning activities, also reducing concerns from parents.
Argument 3 :
Distance learning is a good solution for both students and teachers. Teachers can still provide students with material and assignments via digital access. And students can work on and understand the material as well as the assignments given by the teacher. It does not pose a risk or reduce the occurrence of undesirable things.
Conclusion :
The floods that hit the city of Semarang caused many losses. Direct learning is hampered, but this can be overcome with distance learning. The safety and comfort of students and teachers is important in conducting learning.
